In September 2006 at the age of just 2 Mia was Diagnosed with Neuroblastoma - stage 4 , A very vicious Childhood cancer.
Mia was a little fighter who always had a beautiful smile on her face , unfortunately she lost her courageous battle with her cancer On the 31st of August 2007 - just under a year after her original diagnosis.
I hope that wherever Mia is right now she is being treated like the true little princess that she is!
Mia is loved and missed so very much! her infectious smile will forever remain in my heart xx

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that peach at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void, then fill it with rememebered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored so much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Happy birthday my beautiful angel Mia. Gracie and I sent you a balloon from the beach today, I hope you got it. Gracie thought she was going to see you today and I wish she could. Always in my thoughts and love you lots

My Beautiful Mia
To my precious little angel Mia, I miss you so much, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Gracie will always know she had a gorgeous big sister, she takes the photo and kisses you! I hope you are happy with your friends in heaven. You have left a big hole in my heart that nothing can fill, Gracie keeps me busy and I'm sure you are watching over her every day. She is looking more and more like you every day, she gives me a look that could be you. I bet you laugh when she has one of her temper tantrums, I can imagine what you would say to her 'Gracie Mae that's enough of that you monkey' I'm sending you a big X, I hope you catch it. Love you and miss you my little Princess, forever in my heart

For mia
When the Angels call little children,
To dwell with them above,
We mortals sometimes question,
The wisdom of there love,
For no heartache compares,
With the death of one small child,
Who does so much to make our world,
So wonderful and mild,
Perhaps the angels tire of calling,
The aged to there fold,
So they pick a rosebud,
Before it can grow old,
The angels know how much we need them,
And so they take but few,
To make the land of heaven,
More beautiful to view,
Believing this is difficult,
Still somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows,
Will always be "goodbye",
So when a small child departs,
We who are left behind,
Must realise the angels love children,
Little angels like Mia are hard to find.

I'm so sorry for the loss of little Mia. I know what it's like to lose a young child to cancer - my little boy, George, died aged 7 in November 2006 from Burkitt's Lymphoma/Leukaemia. He was also treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital. I'm sure they are both angels now and having fun in heaven's gardens.
